Where Do I Get My Tax Questions Answered

Believe it or not, you get the answers to many of your tax questions directly from the IRS, online. That’s right! The IRS’s Interactive Tax Assistant (ITA) is a great tax tool that answers the frequently asked tax questions.

The tax assistance can be utilized by entering search criteria, selecting a popular topic or by choosing a tax category. Users get their tax questions answered by stepping through the series of tax related questions that provides you responses that answer your tax questions.

The IRS tax assistant works well when selecting the Popular Topic and Category options. However, since the ITA only covering a limited amount of topics, chances are high that your search term or tax question will result in the tool directing you to the IRS’s tax trait application and keyword search results page.

The interactive tax assistant tool answers questions, such as: Do I need to file a tax return? Who can I claim as a Dependent? What is my filing status? How much can I deduct for each exemption I claim? What is my standard deduction?

The ITA’s Category option is effective for answering your tax questions related to Credits, Deductions and General Filing Questions.

Here are more answers to tax questions or you can visit the IRS website directly.
